NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame men’s lacrosse staff has organized a coaching clinic tour that will take them to Louisville, Ky., St. Louis, Mo. and Chicago, Ill. The free clinics are open to youth, middle school and high school coaches.
The first stop is St. Louis on Monday. The clinic will be held from 6-8 p.m. (CT) inside Ross Hall at Christian Brothers College High School, which is located at 1850 De La Salle Drive.
The Fighting Irish staff will then head to Louisville for a clinic on Tuesday. The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. (ET) inside the Main Auditorium of St. Xavier High School. The school is located at 1609 Poplar Level Road.
The Chicago clinic will take place in January. The date has not been determined.
“We are doing these clinics for two reasons,” Notre Dame men’s lacrosse head coach Kevin Corrigan said. “The first is to continue our efforts of growing the game in the Midwest and on all levels. The second reason is to promote the NCAA quarterfinals coming to Indianapolis in May. That will be huge for lacrosse in the Midwest and we want to encourage people to find their way to Indianapolis for what will be two great lacrosse games.”
The 2013 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship quarterfinals in Indianapolis are slated for May 19. The doubleheader will take place inside Lucas Oil Stadium, which is home to the Indianapolis Colts.
The Notre Dame staff also will hold its annual national coaching convention Feb. 2-3. Additional information will be released at a later date.
