EVANSTON, Ill. – The Notre Dame fencing team swept this weekend’s competition at the Schiller Duals, hosted by Northwestern. The second-ranked women’s team went a perfect 6-0 last Saturday, beating #6 Northwestern, #11 Stanford, #14 Temple for ranked wins while the top-ranked men’s team totaled a 5-0 record, with ranked victories over #12 Stanford and #15 UC San Diego.
Notre Dame concluded an impressive January this past weekend. In the first month of 2026, the women’s team recorded a 23-1 while the men’s team was 20-3.
In men’s Epee, Jonathan Hamilton-Meikle posted a 14-1 record overall, surpassing 100 career wins for the Irish. Mauran Osman-Touson was 9-1 as well, as the Irish dominated Epee throughout the day.
Chase Emmer posted a 10-2 record in Foil, posting 3-0 records over Wayne State, #15 UC San Diego and #11 Stanford. In Sabre, Radu Nitu was a perfect 9-0 while Ahmed Hesham went 6-0.
On the women’s side, Felicity Sebastian totaled a 15-3 record in Epee to improve to 46-14 on the season, a team-high for wins this season. Siobhan Sullivan went 12-0 in Sabre while Ashley Chen and Chelsea Delsoin both logged nine wins on the day.
Notre Dame continues the season this weekend in North Carolina. The Irish will compete in the Alex and Elizabeth Beguinet Classic hosted by Duke on Saturday before heading to Chapel Hill for North Carolina’s Ron Miller Invitational on Sunday.
