Irish Take Two on the Road in Weekend Sweep

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — No. 42 Notre Dame Men’s Tennis captured its fourth consecutive victory with two weekend wins over No. 32 Georgia Tech and Clemson. 

The Irish defeated five. ranked competitors on the weekend between singles and doubles play.

Notre Dame moves to 13-8 on the year with 6-4 mark in conference play. 

Notre Dame began the weekend with a 4-2 victory at Georgia Tech, which was highlighted by Axel Nefve’s singles victory over No. 20 Marcus McDaniel and Richard Ciamarra’s win over No. 24 Andres Martin. The Irish also took down two ranked doubles teams with Nefve and Tristan McCormick teaming up to defeat No. 50 McDaniel/Martin and Brandon Ancona and William Howells besting No. 64 Pablo Schelcher and Brandon Freestone.

The Irish would also earn a Sunday victory against Clemson, with Nefve defeating No. 103 Carlos Kelaidis.
