NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team will face the University of Denver in the second annual Whitman’s® Sampler® Mile High Classic at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, Colo., on March 16, 2013.
The Notre Dame-Denver matchup is slated for 6:30 p.m. (MT) and will be the second and final game of the event. Defending national champion Loyola will take on Air Force at 4 p.m.
In 2012, a passionate crowd of 12,282 gathered at Sports Authority Field at Mile High for the first ever Whitman’s® Sampler® Mile High Classic. The historic doubleheader (Duke vs. Denver and Virginia vs. Penn) helped cement Colorado’s reputation as the sport’s No. 1 emerging market. The second edition promises more excitement with a lineup featuring the reigning national champions and top contenders for the 2013 title.
Tickets for the 2013 Whitman’s® Sampler® Mile High Classic will go on sale at noon (ET) on Dec. 3. All seating locations at Sports Authority Field will be reserved for these events. Fans are urged to make their plans early to secure the best seats and to be part of the action.
Ticket prices are: $40 for The Corral (on-field seating); $35 for Premium Midfield; $25 for Sideline Reserved; and $18 for Back of the Cage seating. Groups of 10 or more can purchase Sideline Reserved seats for $20 while groups of 100 or more can buy tickets for only $15. Parking can be purchased on game day for $10. A limited number of Field Boxes, with seating for a minimum of 10 people, are also available starting at $500. Both games of the Whitman’s® Sampler® Mile High Classic are tentatively slated to air live on ESPN3, with the Notre Dame-Denver contest to also air nationally on ESPNU on tape delay the next day (March 17).
