Irish Women Close Season At NCAA Championships

Six swimmers and a diver competed for Notre Dame

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — The Notre Dame women’s swimming and diving program closed out its 2024-25 campaign this week at the 2025 NCAA Championships outside of Seattle. Six swimmers and a diver competed for the Irish in a pair of relays and five individual events. 

Veterans Jess Geriane, Imogen Meers, Katie Drumm and Madelyn Christman started the meet with the 200 medley relay, notching a 26th place finish with a time of 1:37.57. The same crew also swam the 200 free relay and finished 26th with a time of 1:29.17.

Rookie Carli Cronk swam three individual events — 400 IM (4:13.04), 500 free (4:44.64) and 200 fly (1:55.40). She finished 37th, 51st and 28th, respectively. The other individual swimming event for the Irish came from senior distance freestyle Maggie Graves, who completed her storied Notre Dame career with a 16:17.49 performance in the 1650 free. 

In the diving well, junior Grace Courtney took on the 3-meter springboard event in her second NCAA Championships in as many years. She placed 42nd with a score of 254.05.

Irish diver Ben Nguyen will compete in the platform at next week’s men’s NCAA Championships in the final event of the academic year for Notre Dame swimming and diving.
