Irish Women’s Golf Rounds Out Fall Season At The Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C.The Notre Dame women’s golf team competed in the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, North Carolina this past week. The team placed 15th in their final match of the fall slate with a score of 897(+33). 

Alex Lapple finished first for the Irish placing 13th individually with a three-round score of 216(E). Lapple shot a minus 1 in the first round, with one birdie on the sixth hole and three birdies on the back nine. She finished the first day with a score of 71(-1). She then finished four-over in the second round. Lapple ended the tournament strong, finishing three-under in the final round. Lapple recorded two birdies on the front nine and carried this momentum into the back nine getting an additional two birdies and an eagle on Hole 12. She finished with a score of 69(-3), the team’s tournament low for a round. 

Maddy Bante finished second for the Irish placing 41st individually with an overall score of 223(+7). Bante scored an individual low score in the second round of 71(-1). She scored 75(+3) in the first round and 77(+5) in the last round. 

Taryn Cagle and Jordan Levitt scored just two strokes off each other’s total with Cagle placing 64th individually with an overall score of 228(+12) and Levitt placing 74th with an overall score of 230(+14). Cagle shot her best round score of the tournament in the second round shooting 74(+2). She shot a 79(+7) in the first round and a 75(+3) in round three. Levitt started the tournament with a round one score of 75(+3) and scored 78(+6) and a 77(+5) in the second and third round respectively.

Bridget Wilkie also competed for the Irish women in Wilmington, North Carolina, scoring 247(+31) in three rounds to finish off the tournament 95 overall. 

The Landfall Tradition concluded the Notre Dame Women’s golf fall slate. The women’s golf season will resume in February 2026.
