Results
DES MOINES, Iowa — The University of Notre Dame men’s and women’s track & field teams completed action on Sunday at the Drake Relays at Drake Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa.
For the Irish men, Anthony Shivers and Dominick Padovano competed in both the discus and hammer throw, with Padovano finishing 13th in the discus (49.06m) and 16th in the hammer (55.67m), while Shivers placed 10th in the discus (49.94), but fouled out of the hammer throw.
For the women, the 4×400-meter relay team of Parker English, Amber Lalla, Jordan Shead and Margaret Bamgbose finished third in the finals (3:35.13), while Jade Barber finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles finals in 13.09. The sprint medley relay squad of Lalla, Payton Miller, Michelle Rotondo and Shead finished 10th with a time of 3:57.70.
HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Fighting Irish also completed competition at the 49th Annual Hillsdale College GINA Relays, held at Ken Herrick Outdoor Track at Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan.
Mikaila Chamblee topped the day for the Irish with a first-place finish in the women’s 400-meter hurdles championship in 1:03.51, while Elise Brady finished fifth in the 1,500-meter open run in 4:41.88. For the men, Aaron Dunn and Ben Harvel finished second and third in the championship section of the 400-meter hurdles, separated by just 0.04 seconds (54.55 and 54.59, respectively).
