Jadarian Price Selected 32nd Overall in 2026 NFL Draft By Seattle

Jadarian Price was selected in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks with the 32nd overall selection.

Price becomes the 73rd first round pick for the Irish. Notre Dame becomes the first university in NFL Draft history to have the first two running backs drafted in the same draft.

This is just the third time a university has had the first two selections of a position. In 1991 Tennessee had the first two OT and in 1946 Notre Dame had the first two quarterbacks.

Price is the 12th Notre Dame player all-time to be drafted to Seattle. This marks the second straight year the Seahawks have drafted a Notre Dame player after selecting Rylie Mills in 2025.  He joins Mills and former Irish S Julian Love on the Seahawks roster.

Love and Price are now the fourth running back tandem from the same school to be selected in the first round, and the first since Darren McFadden and Felix Jones represented Arkansas in the 2008 NFL Draft.

This marks the first time Notre Dame has had two running backs selected in the first round of the same NFL draft.

Love and Price become the first Notre Dame running back duo selected in the same draft since Jerome Bettis and Reggie Brooks in 1993.

Price was one of the most versatile players in college football, a force at running back and a difference-maker as a kickoff returner.

In 2025, he rushed 113 times for 674 yards and 11 touchdowns, with six receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns, as well as 12 kickoff returns for two touchdowns and a 37.5 kickoff return average. Both of his kickoff return touchdowns have gone for 100 yards.

Price was a finalist for the Hornung Award, recognizing the most versatile player in college football, and the Jet Award, recognizing the top returner in the country.

He ended his Irish career with 1,692 rushing yards while sharing the backfield with Jeremiyah Love, and amassed 2,648 total yards in his career. He scored 27 touchdowns.

Price is the first Notre Dame player ever with multiple kick return touchdowns of 100 yards and just the fourth Notre Dame player since at least 1996 to return multiple kickoffs for touchdowns in the same season. His most recent was just the fifth kick in program history to be returned 100 yards for a touchdown with two coming from Price this season.

Price is now tied for second all-time in kickoff returns for touchdowns in Notre Dame history with three. He joins Tim Brown, Allen Rossum and CJ Sanders for second all-time, trailing only Raghib Ismail’s five. Price is just the third player in program history to return multiple kickoffs for touchdowns against a single team during their career (Raghib Ismail – Rice, Michigan; Paul Castner – Kalamazoo), as he also returned a kickoff for a touchdown vs. USC in 2023.
