SOUTH BEND, Ind. – After being named to the Tewaaraton Watch List earlier this spring, Kate Timarky was named a Top-25 Tewaaraton Nominee on Thursday evening. The junior attacker was also named to the IL Women Midseason All-American Third Team in early April.
Timarky leads the Irish with 54 goals and 70 points so far this season. She surpassed the 100 career-points milestone earlier this season after recording a career-high 10 points in the win over Liberty.
Timarky has been one of the top offensive players in the ACC this season as she is second in the conference, and eighth nationally, in goals (54). She is second in the ACC in goals per game and 15th nationally (3.60).
She is also third in the conference in points (70) and third in points per game (4.67). She has also recorded 19 ground balls so far this season and has scored a hat trick or more in 11 games.
