DOHA, Qatar – Senior Notre Dame fencer Kaylin Sin Yan Hsieh captured the Doha Epee Grand Prix title on Sunday, the first of her career.
Hsieh becomes the first épéeist in program history to win a Grand Prix title. The senior won gold by defeating Nelli Differt in the final by a score of 15-7.

The senior is an Olympian, representing Hong Kong in the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo. Hsieh is also an NCAA individual national champion, winning the 2022 epee title at the championships.
