SOUTH BEND, Ind. – On Friday Notre Dame athletics announced the addition of Jess Kerr in the role of Executive Associate Athletics Director, Policy, Equity and Legal Affairs.

Kerr comes to Notre Dame after spending time with the NCAA as an Associate General Counsel. She served as the primary risk advisor to the NCAA’s Committee on Competitive Safeguards & Medical Aspects of Sport, Committee on Academics, Strategic Vision & Planning Committee, Legislative Committee, Sports Science Institute and many internal departments and membership working groups.

“I am thrilled to welcome Jess back to Notre Dame,” said Senior Deputy Athletics Director, Missy Conboy. “Her time as a student-athlete and coach, coupled with her experience with the NCAA Office of the General Counsel, will make her an invaluable member of the Engagement, Legal & Policy team.”

She also worked to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop, socialize and implement critical association strategy in key operational areas including academic performance, COVID-19 resocialization, data privacy, DEI, eligibility, injury prevention and management, and much more.

Kerr is returning to her alma mater after competing as a four-year monogram winner in women’s volleyball and graduating with a marketing degree from the Mendoza College of Business.
