Knuble Named Hobey Baker Nominee

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Sophomore center Cole Knuble of the Notre Dame hockey team has been named a Hobey Baker Memorial Award nominee, as announced by the award Wednesday morning. Knuble leads the team in points (25), goals (nine) and assists (16). He also boasts a team-best +13 on-ice rating thus far in his second season with the Irish.

A Grand Rapids, Michigan native, Knuble currently ranks sixth in College Hockey News’ Hobey Tracker as his 25 points ranks in the top-20 among all Division I collegiate skaters. His 25 points is also ninth-best in the conference while his 16 assists is good for eighth.

Starting Wednesday, fans can vote once per day as part of the award’s annual fan balloting. This year the fan vote will run from Jan. 22-March 9. Fans can cast their vote once per day by visiting hobeybaker.com/vote.

Finalists will be announced March 19.
