SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Junior running backs Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price have been selected as Pony Express Award Finalists. The award celebrates duos whose collective leadership, sacrifice, and impact shape team success, underscoring the belief that great players can be even greater together, both on and off the field.
The winner of the award will be announced on December 9, 2025.
The running back duo of Love and Price are an unmatched one-two punch among FBS programs. Notre Dame’s most recent game, a win over Stanford, marked the 15th time in their careers that both Love and Price have scored a touchdown in the same game. Notre Dame is 14-1 when both Love and Price find the endzone in the same game.
This season, Love has posted 185 rushes for 1,306 yards and 17 touchdowns, adding 26 receptions for 274 yards and three touchdowns. He averages 7.1 yards per rush on the season. Love is the only player in the country to both own more than 1,100 rushing yards on the season and average 6.6 or more yards per carry.
Love continues to rank as one of the most outstanding players in college football, ranking second nationally in scoring (10.5), second in total points (126), second in total touchdowns (21) third in rushing touchdowns (18), fourth in rushing yards (1,372), fifth in rushing yards per game (114.3), fifth in yards per carry (6.89) and fifth in all-purpose yards (137.67).
Love is a finalist for the Maxwell Award and the Doak Walker Award, while Price is a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award and the Jet Award.
Price has rushed 113 times for 674 yards and 11 touchdowns, with six receptions for 87 yards and two touchdowns, as well as 12 kickoff returns for two touchdowns and a 37.5 kickoff return average. Both of his kickoff return touchdowns have gone for 100 yards.
Price leads all FBS players in kickoff return average (37.5) and kickoff return touchdowns (2), and ranks ninth in total touchdowns (15).
Love, Price and Notre Dame’s offense compiled an explosive regular season. Nationally, Notre Dame ranks fifth in scoring offense (41.8), fifth in team passing efficiency (168.61), 10th in passing yards per completion (14.11), 17th in passes had intercepted (6), 18th in total offense (458.5), 18th in third down conversion percentage (0.481), 18th in rushing offense (203.4) and 20th in completion percentage (0.672).
