NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame men’s lacrosse program and Baumer Family Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Kevin Corrigan released the 2020 schedule, a 12-game slate that features seven games at Arlotta Stadium and Loftus Sports Center. The Irish enter the season ranked in the top 10 again, earning the No. 6 ranking from US Lacrosse Magazine and No. 7 from Inside Lacrosse.
The Irish have reached 14 consecutive NCAA Championships and have played in nine of the last 10 quarterfinals entering the 2020 season. Notre Dame is set to return six of its top seven returning goal scorers from last season and two of its three starting defensemen and goalie.
TOUGHEST SCHEDULE IN THE COUNTRY
Notre Dame always challenges itself with by playing one of the toughest schedules in the country and the 2020 slate will be no different. Of Notre Dame’s 12 regular-season opponents, eight are in the top 15 of Inside Lacrosse’s preseason rankings. The Irish are set to face six opponents ranked in the top 10 of the poll, as Notre Dame will square off against No. 1 Virginia, No. 4 Maryland, No 6 Duke, No. 8 Syracuse, No. 9 Ohio State and No. 10 Denver. Notre Dame will also face No. 11 North Carolina and No. 15 Army.
LOADED HOME SLATE
Four of seven home games of the regular-season schedule are against teams ranked in the preseason poll. The Irish welcome the defending national champions, No. 1 Virginia, on March 19 in a primetime matchup at Arlotta Stadium. The other highly touted teams to visit Notre Dame are No. 10 Denver (March 7), No. 6 Duke (April 4) and No. 15 Army in the regular-season home finale (April 11).
B1G NON-CONFERENCE BATTLES
Three of Notre Dame’s eight non-conference games will be played against teams from the Big Ten. The Irish will play both Maryland (Feb. 29) and Ohio State (March 10) on the road. Notre Dame then hosts Michigan (March 15) at Arlotta Stadium. The Irish played all three teams in the regular season in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and have gone a combined 6-3 against the opposition over the two-year span.
REGULAR SEASON HOME FINALE
The Irish seniors will take the field of Arlotta Stadium for their final regular season game on April 11, as Notre Dame faces Army in the finale. The Irish and Black Knights will renew their rivalry after not playing in 2019.
TOURNEY TIME
The semifinal and championship rounds of the annual ACC Tournament will be held on the campus of the No. 1 seed on April 24 & 26. The Irish have reached the title game in each of the last three seasons and claimed the 2018 championship.
PRESEASON EXHIBITION
The Irish will host two preseason scrimmages prior to the 2020 regular season schedule. Notre Dame will welcome Detroit Mercy on Sunday, Jan. 19 to Loftus Sports Center and then will take on Air Force on Saturday, Jan. 25 in Loftus Sports Center as part of the annual NDLaxTV Coaching Clinic weekend.

SELFIE SUNDAY – MEET THE TEAM ON FEBRUARY 2
On Sunday, February 2, the men’s lacrosse team will host an open practice at the Loftus Center from 12pm to 2:00pm. After the practice, fans will have the chance to meet the team, take selfies with the players and get autographs. Season tickets will also be on sale.
