ANN ARBOR, Mich. — No. 12 Notre Dame dropped another close match Saturday afternoon to No. 18 Michigan, 4-3. The Irish are in the midst of a two day road series which features trips to Michigan and No. 2 Ohio State.
Doubles
The Irish came out on top in doubles as Grayson Broadus and Matt Gamble defeated their Wolverine opponents on court three to give the team an edge in the final two matches. Richard Ciamarra, with partner Tristan McCormick, secured the Irish point in a 6-3 victory in No. 1 singles to give the team the early lead.
Singles
Tristan McCormick tallied the first singles point of the afternoon as he defeated his opponent with a pair of 6-4 set wins to put the Irish up by two.
Alex Lebedev and Matt Gamble both forced the decisive third set after dropping their first sets. Gamble tallied the third and final point for Notre Dame in the loss. Lebedev forced a third set, winning a tiebreak in the second by a score 7-6(3).

The Irish are now 8-5 on the season and will conclude their road trip on Sunday at No. 1 Ohio State. The match is currently set for noon ET.
Notre Dame will return to Eck Tennis Pavilion on Friday, March 1, as they host the Michigan State Spartans for a weekend dual.
