TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Fighting Irish women’s golf team shot a 304 in the opening round of the 2021 Florida State Women’s Match-Up and are in ninth place at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course (par 72/6,255 yards).
Sophomore Jessica Meyers had Notre Dame’s top round of the day, shooting a 75 (+3) in her season debut. She eagled the par-5 fourth and made the turn at two-under par (34) before finishing with a 41 on the back nine. She enters the second round tied for 24th.
Lauren Beaudreau (76), Claire Albrecht (76) and Madelyn Jones (77) also scored for the Irish, while freshman Julia Bordeaux made her Fighting Irish debut and carded a 93.

Florida State (282) leads the 14-team field, followed by Kent State (282) and Coastal Carolina (293).
Notre Dame’s second round tee times are slated to begin at 9:50 a.m. on Saturday and live scoring will be available via Golfstat.
