Moore Joins Notre Dame For Graduate Season

The graduate guard was an All-SEC Second Team selection in 2023-24

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Former Vanderbilt guard Iyana Moore will close out her collegiate career closer to her Milwaukee stomping grounds, as the 5-8 shooter will join Notre Dame for the 2024-25 season.

Moore averaged 12.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest as a senior last year, helping lead the Commodores to a 22-11 finish and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

“We are excited to welcome Iyana Moore to our ND family!” Karen and Kevin Keyes Family Head Coach Niele Ivey said. “Iyana is a sharp-shooter, an elite scorer and a tenacious defender. Her wealth of experience will enhance our team on both the offensive and the defensive side of the ball.

“She has an outstanding offensive arsenal, shooting over 35 percent from the 3-point line. Iyana will make an incredible and immediate impact on our team on and off the court!”

Moore will arrive in South Bend with an extensive list of undergraduate accomplishments, including earning a spot on the All-SEC Second Team in 2023-24. During that season, she led the Commodores with 14.2 points per game and averaged 17.6 in SEC play, which ranked sixth in the conference. She totaled 24 double-digit games.

Moore is the fourth transfer Notre Dame has added this offseason, joining Malaya Cowles (Wake Forest), Gisela Sanchez (Kansas State) and Vanessa de Jesus (Duke). The former two players are forwards, while de Jesus is a guard.
