Natalie Hoefer, a rising senior on the University of Notre Dame rowing team, has secured a spot on the United States National Team that will compete at the 2024 World Rowing Under-23 Championships in St. Catherines, Canada, August 18-23.
This competition will mark Hoefer’s second year with the U.S. Under-23 team. Last July, Hoefer sat in the second seat of the W4+ at the world championships in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, helping the boat finish third in 6:51.59. Hoefer will be in the fourth seat of the W8+ at this year’s world championship.
“We are very pleased that Natalie has made her second U.S. Rowing U-23 National Team,” said Notre Dame head rowing coach Martin Stone.
“She has put great effort with a great attitude throuth the ups and downs of the rigorous selection process. She will be a great representative of University of Notre Dame and the United States throughout the championships.”
The heats of the W8+ at the Under-23 world championships will begin on Sunday, August 18.
Hoefer is a two-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference first-team selection and helped the Irish finish third at the ACC Championship regatta in 2024.
