SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The Irish women’s swim program kicked off the 2024-25 season on Friday with a dominant victory over regional foe Miami University, 180-82. Notre Dame won 10 of 14 events, bookending the meet with a pair of relay victories.
Of the eight individual event wins Notre Dame notched on Friday, four of them came from newcomers. Freshman Carli Cronk earned the victory in a pair of events, winning the 200 (1:50.49) and 500 free (4:58.39). Sophomore transfer Lainey Mullins won the 200 fly (2:02.51), while rookie Hollie Widdows earned the win in the 50 free (23.16).
Seniors and 2024 NCAA qualifiers Maggie Graves and Madelyn Christman won the 1000 free (10:16.42) and 200 back (2:01.75), respectively.
