FIRST LOOK: Notre Dame Football reveals Rockne Heritage Uniform
The Fighting Irish will wear special uniforms
to honor former head coach and three-time
national champion Knute Rockne, whose vision
and persistence led to the construction of the
original Notre Dame Stadium.
In 1930, the inaugural year of Notre Dame
Stadium, the Irish played Navy in the
Dedication Game for the facility. Fast forward
to 2017 and the Fighting Irish will wear the
“ROCKNE” uniforms in the November 18th
contest against the Midshipmen to close out
the inaugural season in the new facility.
