NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Following a dominant offensive showing in Notre Dame’s victory over Chicago State on Tuesday, the Irish baseball team is set to face No. 6 Clemson in a three-game weekend series. First pitch of the series opener is slated for 5:05 p.m. ET on Friday at Frank Eck Stadium.
Notre Dame (12-16, 4-8) is looking to stymie a Clemson (23-6, 8-4) team that has won five straight and seven of its last eight games. The Irish, meanwhile, have received several strong outings from their starting rotation and will turn to the bullpen to finish the job against the Tigers.

Notre Dame trails the all-time series versus Clemson with a 5-8 mark overall. The Irish have posted a 2-4 record versus the Tigers at Frank Eck Stadium.
The Irish are looking to snap a six-game losing streak against Clemson, dating back to May 19, 2016. Notre Dame’s last win against the Tigers came on March 15, 2015, and its last win at home was on May 11, 2014.
Versus the Top 10
The Irish are 3-3 against top-10 teams this season after winning their series opener at LSU at Alex Box Stadium and taking one game at Florida State.
Notre Dame’s win over LSU on Feb. 17 marked the team’s first regular-season win against a top-10 team since April 10-12, 2015, when the Irish swept then-No. 7 Florida State at home.
