GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Notre Dame swimmers and divers are known for putting the “student” in “student-athlete,” and their hard work was put on display by the ACC on Wednesday. The conference announced the 2022-23 All-ACC Academic Teams, and 32 Notre Dame athletes made the cut. The university is one of just four ACC schools to have put more than 30 swimmers and divers on the list.

The Women’s Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year is Virginia’s Kate Douglass, while NC State’s Nyls Korstanje earned the Men’s Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors. The academic requirements for selection to the team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. Additionally, student-athletes must have competed in the ACC Swimming and Diving Championships and/or the NCAA Championships during the most recent season.
