SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Doug & Lisa Jones Family Notre Dame Women’s Soccer Head Coach Nate Norman added veteran leadership to the backline with the addition of grad transfer Carolyn Calzada. A native of Sugar Hill, Georgia, Calzada spent the last three seasons at Texas A&M, starting in all 54 games she appeared in. She was a two-time All-SEC performer and a co-captain for the Aggies last season.
Coach Norman on Calzada
“We are very excited about Carolyn. She is a fantastic center back that fits our system perfectly. She has great speed, quickness, and is very strong in the air. She is very technical and will help us control tempo from the back. She is also a great person who will fit seamlessly into the culture of our team. We can’t wait to start working with her.”
