Notre Dame head women’s tennis coach Alison Silverio announced the signing of blue-chip recruit Jessica Kovalcik on Wednesday. The Plainfield, Illinois native will join the Fighting Irish in the fall of 2025, becoming the third signee in a standout class.

“We are excited to welcome Jessica to the Notre Dame family,” Silverio said. “Her strong character, exceptional work ethic, and remarkable achievements will make her an impactful addition to our team. Jessica is committed to developing as a student, person and athlete, which will align seamlessly with our program’s mission. We are confident Jessica will commit to what it takes to elevate our program!

Kovalcik has reached as high as #14 in her class nationally and won back-back Illinois 2A state singles titles in 2023 and 2024. She joins future team members Sophia Holod (East Setauket, NY) and MariLouise van Zyl (Potchefstroom, South Africa) in the program’s incoming class.
