SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Notre Dame graduate student Marcus Reyes-Gentry will need a larger trophy case after competition this summer.
Reyes-Gentry, who hails from Central Point, Ore., represented Mexico at the 25th Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from July 20 to August 8.
Reyes-Gentry won four gold medals, touching first in the 50M back, 100M back, men's 4x100 medley relay and mixed 4x100 medley relay, setting four Central American and Caribbean Games records along the way. Reyes-Gentry's times of 24.63 in the 50 back and 53.68 in the 100 back were also Mexican records.
