SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Nine University of Notre Dame Men’s Lacrosse Freshmen have been named to the Inside Lacrosse Top 100 Freshman Rankings.
Notre Dame has the most representatives in the Top 100 of any school with nine. Four of the Irish’s nine are in the top 15. Dylan Faison would have been the number one player in this year’s class, according to Inside Lacrosse, prior to reclassifying and playing for Notre Dame in the spring of 2026.
Joe Ligas headlines the list for the Irish with the number two overall ranking in the class. Ligas is a five-star recruit as rated by Inside Lacrosse. Ligas is the highest-ranked defenseman on the list.
Hunter Metz and Ty Curry follow closely behind Ligas as Metz ranks ninth and Curry ranks 11th.
Danny Riely is 14th, rounding out the top 15 for the Irish.
Dylan Novak ranks 21st, and his Irish teammate Kieran Walsh ranks 26th. Walsh is the highest-ranked goalie in the top 100.
Ciaran Sweeney is ranked 33rd and is the highest-ranked face-off specialist on the list; Jace Banks ranks 41st, and John Buttafuoco rounds out the nine Irish selections at 90.
