SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Announced Monday by the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), Notre Dame had three players selected to the 2026 Preseason All-ACC Team as the Fighting Irish were also selected as the preseason favorite to win the 2026 ACC women’s soccer championship.
The junior trio of Izzy Engle, Annabelle Chukwu, and Abby Mills received preseason honors for the Irish.
Last season, Engle was a MAC Hermann Trophy Finalist, USC All-American First Team honoree, Honda Sport Award for Soccer Finalist, USC All-Atlantic Region First Team honoree, First Team All-ACC honoree, and is the reigning ACC Offensive Player of the Year. Chukwu was also a First Team All-ACC honoree, USC All-Atlantic Region First Team honoree, and was named to the USC All-American Second Team.
Notre Dame will host Northwestern on August 5 and Bowling Green on August 8 for a pair of exhibition matches before opening up the 2026 season officially with Samford on August 12.
