Irish Draw Davidson, West Virginia For Battle 4 Atlantis

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Notre Dame women's basketball's Thanksgiving plans are taking shape, as the Battle 4 Atlantis announced Monday the Irish will face Davidson on Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. ET on ESPN+ and West Virginia on Nov. 26 at 11:30 a.m. ET on ESPN2 as part of the tournament's fifth iteration.

The trip to the Bahamas will feature Notre Dame's second and third international matchups of the season, as the Irish open the year in Rome against Villanova on Nov. 1.

Notre Dame's first opponent on Paradise Island is an unfamiliar one. The Irish have faced Davidson just once in 1981, winning the contest 85-37.

Davidson returns 10 players from last year's roster, but the Wildcats lost their best player in Charlise Dunn. Drafted 36th overall in the 2026 WNBA Draft, Dunn became the program's first WNBA Draft selection after leading Davidson with 15.3 points and 7.4 rebounds per game last year.

The matchup against West Virginia is a Big East rivalry renewed, as the Irish and Mountaineers played every year from 1996 to 2010 and twice again in 2012 before Notre Dame joined the ACC. The Irish are 19-3 all-time against West Virginia.

The Mountaineers have made the NCAA Tournament in four consecutive seasons and won the Big 12 Tournament last year en route to a No. 5 seed. The group is ranked 25th in ESPN's Way-Too-Early Top 25. Leading scorer Gia Cooke returns, and West Virginia added two-time Big East first teamer Skylar Forbes from Marquette through the transfer portal.
