SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Senior standout men’s golfer Jacob Modleski has been tabbed by Golf Channel as a Preseason Third Team All-American, as announced by the outlet on Monday morning.

Modleski had a strong 2025-26 campaign, leading the Irish to a top-10 NCAA Regional finish. He was named to the All-ACC Team for the second consecutive season.

The senior led the team with eight top-10 finishes, including a co-champion title at the Schenkel Invitational in the spring season. Competing in all 12 tournaments for the Irish in 2025-26, Modleski finished below par on 11 occasions, including a season-low 203 (-13) en route to his individual title at the aforementioned tournament.

Modleski’s junior campaign began earlier than most collegiate golfers as he was selected to represent Team USA at the 2025 Walker Cup, becoming the first in program history to represent Notre Dame at the prestigious event.

He then joined his team in West Michigan for the Folds of Honor Collegiate Invitational where he finished fifth overall and helped his team to the runner-up finish just one day after concluding his time at the Walker Cup.

The Noblesville, Indiana, native finished his third season with the Irish in ninth place at the NCAA Corvallis Regional, rounding out the tournament with a score of 208 (-5) for his second consecutive top-10 finish in NCAA Regional play.

Modleski became the first men’s Fighting Irish golfer to capture the ACC Individual Championship title in 2025.

The senior and the rest of the Fighting Irish men’s golf team opens the 2026-27 season at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Michigan, on Monday, Sept. 7.
