CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Notre Dame volleyball team fell in its opener of the Steve Baumrind Invitational, falling to Northern Kentucky in four sets, 24-26, 16-25, 28-26, 25-27. The Irish are now 1-4 on the season.
Sydney Helmers totaled 21 kills, just one off her career-high set last Saturday at Toledo. It’s the second career game for Helmers with 20 or more kills.
Angie Desamours logged a career-best 13 kills, making it two consecutive matches with double figure kills.
Maya Baker tallied a career-high 39 assists, besting her career-high by eight assists. She also added nine digs.
The Irish will look to bounce back tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. against Duquesne.
