MADISON, Wis. - The Fighting Irish women’s golf team opened the 2026-27 season with a top-five finish, placing fifth at the Badger Invitational held at the University of Wisconsin Golf Course.
Notre Dame finished with a 16-over 880 as a team over the three rounds. Iowa State won the tournament with a 7-under followed by Northwestern (3-under), Wisconsin (7-over) and Iowa (14-over).
The Irish placed two individuals in the top-20 on the leaderboard, as Jordan Levitt placed in a tie for eighth with a 1-over 217 while teammate Bridget Wilke finished in a tie for 16th with a 4-over 220.
ROUND ONE
The Irish were tied for sixth with Washington State after the opening round of action on Sunday, shooting a 6-over 294 as a team. Northwestern led the field with a 7-under 281 followed by Iowa State (5-under) and Michigan (5-under).
Levitt had the round of the day for the Irish, firing a 1-under 71, which included a hole-in-one on the 168-yard, par-3 eighth hole for eagle. Levitt added five birdies to her round to finish in the red for the opening day.
Maddy Bante and Wilke each carded 2-over 74s for the round followed by a 3-over 75 from Faustine Errecade to round out the Fighting Irish scorers for round one.
ROUND TWO
Notre Dame improved on its round one score by two strokes in the second day of competition, posting a 4-over 292 to move into a tie for fourth place with Iowa for the tournament. The Irish recorded the third lowest round of any team competing on Monday.
Levitt and Wilkie tied for the best round of the day for the Fighting Irish, both shooting even par 72s. Alexsandra Lapple finished just one stroke back of her two teammates with a 1-over 73. Errecade was the fourth Notre Dame golfer to record a countable score with a 3-over 75.
ROUND THREE
On the final day of competition the Irish totaled a 6-over 294 to record a top-five finish with the fifth-place performance.
Bante was the top golfer on Tuesday for Notre Dame, finishing with an even par 72, her best round of the week. The trio of Levitt, Wilkie and Lapple each carded a 2-over 74 to complete the 6-over performance as a team.
UP NEXT
The Irish return home to host the Fighting Irish Classic at Warren Golf Course. The tournament opens on Saturday, Sept. 26 and ends on Sunday, Sept. 27.
