SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame No. 6 women’s cross country team and the No. 14 Irish men’s squad once again used impressive performances to sweep the titles at the National Catholic Invitational on Friday morning.
Women’s Race
The women swept the top five places for a perfect team score of 15 for the National Catholic Invitational title.
Chloe Huyler finished first in 16:45.4, and Isabel Allori set a personal best in 16:45.5 to finish second. Mary Bonner Dalton finished third with a time of 16:45.6. Gretchen Farley finished fourth with a time of 16:45.7. Reagan Riley rounded out the top five for the Irish, placing fifth with a time of 16:45.8 to secure the perfect team score.
The Irish had the top eight spots as Rosie Mucharsky (17:14.5), Mary Grace Hegberg (17:28.0) and Addison Knoblauch (17:31.5) finished fifth through eighth.
Bridget Gallagher (17:43.7) finished 10th while Kaitlyn Carr (17:46.6) placed 12th.
Nicki Southerland finished 16th with a time of 18:13.1.
Elena Rybak placed 20th with a time of 18:24.2.

Men’s Race
The Irish men followed up by matching the perfect score of the women. The Irish once again finished first through fifth place for the team win.
Daelen Ackley (23:19.4) finished first, while Cameron Todd (23:27.6) placed second, which mirrors where they finished a season ago at the 2025 National Catholic Invitational.
Noah Bontrager finished third with a time of 23:33.2 in his freshman debut with the Irish. Drew Griffith placed fourth with a time of 23:35.9. Kevin Sanchez rounded out the top five for the Irish with a time of 23:37.9.
Max Douglass (23:45.5) finished sixth. Notre Dame had the top six spots in the race.
Jack Henzke finished in the top 10 in 9th place with a time of 24:05.0. Ryan Pajak (24:17.8) finished 12th.
Kellen Williams finished 19th with a time of 24:43.1. Brendan Reardon placed 20th with a time of 24.45.5. Riku Sugie (25:15.7) finished 34th.
