SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame Cross Country team is hosting the 2026 National Catholic Invitational on Friday, September 18.
The National Catholic Invitational was previously called the National Catholic Championship. The first race took place in 1980 on the men’s side, while the first women’s race took place in 1984. The race takes place on the Burke Golf Course on the southwest side of campus.
Race Times:
11:00 a.m. ET – Women’s 5,000m Race
11:40 a.m. ET – Men’s 8,000m Race
Competing Teams: Bellarmine, Calumet-St. Joseph, Canisius, DePaul, Detroit Mercy, Duquesne, Lewis, Loras, Madonna, Mount Mercy, Mount St. Joseph, Niagara, Notre Dame, Spalding, St. Francis (Ill.), St. Norbert and Thomas More.
The Notre Dame Running Club will also be participating.

Admission is free. We do ask that fans do not bring dogs to the race. Drones are not allowed on campus.
