CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Announced by the league office on Tuesday, junior goalkeeper Sonoma Kasica has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Goalkeeper of the Week.
Kasica helped guide the Irish to a 4-0 win over the Boston College Eagles on Friday night. She finished the night with six saves and her second shutout of the season as she leads the ACC with 4.5 saves per game. Kasica is third in the ACC with 27 saves so far this season and is fourth with a save percentage of .818.
The Irish are back in action on Thursday, Sept. 24 as they travel to take on the No. 4 Duke Blue Devils at 7:00 PM on ACC Network.
