LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Notre Dame volleyball team fell Wednesday night to fourth-ranked Louisville, 16-25, 18-25, 18-25 at L&N Federal Credit Union Arena. The Irish are now 4-8 on the year and 1-2 in ACC play.
Mae Kordas led the Irish offensively, totaling 12 kills on the night. Kordas has tallied double figure kills in six of the last seven games.
Lily Fenton recorded 17 assists and a service ace while Maya Evens finished with a game-high 14 digs.
Louisville’s defense and efficiency limited Notre Dame. The Cardinals totaled 11 team blocks and held the Irish to just a .134 hitting percentage. Meanwhile, Louisville hit .353 as a team and added seven service aces.
Notre Dame will look to bounce back against the Cardinals Saturday at 1:00 p.m. inside Purcell Pavilion. Admission to all Irish regular season matches is free.
