SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Notre Dame volleyball team continues its conference homestand this weekend inside Purcell Pavilion, starting with 23rd-ranked North Carolina Friday night at 6:30 p.m. ET before hosting Duke on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. ET. Both games will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra and admission is free.
Friday marks the 21st meeting all-time between Notre Dame and North Carolina. The series is split at 10-10 after the Tar Heels have won the previous two matchups. The Irish are looking for their first win over North Carolina since 2023 and their first win over the Tar Heels in South Bend since 2019. Friday’s game will be Notre Dame’s annual “Pink Match” for Breast Cancer Awareness.
Notre Dame has won the last two meetings against Duke, including last season’s sweep on October 26, 2025. Sydney Helmers posted 12 kills on .500 hitting in the win while Maya Baker collected her first career game with 30 or more assists with 31 in just three sets. All-time, the Irish and Blue Devils have split the series 12-12. Sunday marks the second of four poster giveaways for Irish volleyball, as well as postgame autographs.
Mae Kordas will look to continue her strong play so far in conference. The sophomore leads the team with 74 kills and 3.70 kills per set against ACC foes, just outside the top-10 in the conference. Kordas has posted double digit kills in eight of the last 10 games.
