CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Announced by the league office on Tuesday, junior forward Izzy Engle was named the ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week and junior defender Abby Mills was named the ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

The duo helped guide the No. 17 Irish to a 2-0 victory on the road at No. 15 Florida State on Saturday night. This would be the first loss that Florida State suffered at home this year and would be just the second time this season that the Seminoles were shutout.

This is Engle’s second ACC Offensive Player of the Week honor this season as the 2025 ACC Offensive Player of the Year led the Irish with two goals and four points in the win over the 15th-ranked Seminoles.

The junior forward’s brace now gives her a team-best seven goals so far this season (in just nine matches played), as Engle now ranks amongst the top ten in the ACC in goals scored this year.

Mills was a key piece in the Irish’s sixth clean sheet of the season. The Irish not only held the Seminoles scoreless, but kept them from registering a single shot in the first 45 minutes of play as they outshot them 5-0 in the first half.

The Seminoles were held to just six shots and one corner kick on the night, the second fewest shots and corner kick opportunities they’ve had all season.

The Irish will head to the west coast as they take on Cal on Thursday, Oct. 29 and No. 7 Stanford on Sunday, Nov. 1.
