HARRISONBURG, Va. — After a win over Morehead State on Thursday night, No. 19 Notre Dame (7-2, 1-0) hits the road this weekend for the third time in four games. The Irish will visit James Madison (8-3) on Sunday for an ESPN+ game at 4 p.m. ET.
NOTES
- The Irish knocked down 13 triples against Morehead State on Thursday and hit eight at Florida State on Sunday. The group is 44.7 percent from deep in those two contests.
- Vanessa de Jesus (4) and Gisela Sanchez (3) tied career highs in 3-pointers against the Eagles.
- Hannah Hidalgo (26/11) and Cassandre Prosper (20/13) recorded double-doubles against Morehead State. It was Prosper’s first of her career.
- Hidalgo leads the nation in steals/game (5.6) and leads the ACC in points/game (25.9). She was named ACC Player of the Week last week for the ninth time in her career, tied for third in the history of the storied conference (Louisville’s Asia Durr and Maryland’s Alyssa Thomas).
- Prosper went from averaging 5.8 points/game over her first three years at Notre Dame to 14.9 this year, an increase of 156.9 percent.
- Notre Dame has four players averaging at least a pair of steals per game. No other ACC team has more than one. The Irish rank fourth nationally with 15.8 swipes per contest.
- The Irish lead the ACC in scoring offense (83.2), field goal percentage (47.9), free throw percentage (81.2), steals/game (15.8) and turnover margin (9.9). All five of those marks rank top 20 nationally.
- Notre Dame has not allowed any fast break points in three games this year: Akron, Central Michigan and Morehead State.
- Notre Dame is 1-2 all-time against JMU and beat the Dukes 92-46 in South Bend last year. It is the only time Ivey has faced a Sun Belt team in her head coaching tenure.
