PITTSBURGH (AP) – Alicia Ratay scored 17 points to lead No. 6 Notre Dame to its 10th straight victory, a 67-53 decision over Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.
Kelly Siemon added a season-high 14 points, including the basket that gave Notre Dame (14-2, 5-0 Big East) a 45-25 lead seven minutes into the second half. Center Ruth Riley had 12 points and 14 rebounds.
After a timeout, the Panthers (11-6, 2-4) scored six unanswered points, but Notre Dame put together a 13-4 run and led by as many as 23 down the stretch.
Gina Montesano had 10 points for the Panthers, who have lost three straight following a five-game winning streak. Pittsburgh shot just 37 percent and was outrebounded 42-26.
