SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Notre Dame (13-6, 5-3) closes out a five-game ACC homestand on Sunday by hosting Clemson (13-7, 4-4) at Purcell Pavilion. Jack Rinaldi and Luke Zeller will have the call on ACCNX, and the game is presented by Dick’s Sporting Goods.
NOTES
- The Irish are coming off a gritty 74-66 win over Miami on Thursday that saw four Irish score in double-figures: Hannah Hidalgo (27), Iyana Moore (19), Cassandre Prosper (12) and Vanessa de Jesus (10).
- Hidalgo was the story of the night, as the junior guard etched her name in the school and conference record books during the contest. With her fourth steal of the night (she finished with 10), Hidalgo broke Skylar Diggins’ career steal record of 381 set over a 150-game career. Hidalgo has 388 and counting, and did it in just 86 games.
- Hidalgo also became the seventh player in Irish history to record 2000 points, and is now the fastest to do it in both ACC and program history. The ACC record was previously 89 and held by Florida State’s Ta’Niya Latson and Clemson’s Barbara Kennedy, while Beth Morgan owned the Notre Dame record of 109.
- Hidalgo continues to lead the ACC in scoring (24.6) and the nation in steals (5.7).
- There have been five 25-point, 10-steal performances in the ACC since the turn of the century. Hidalgo has four of the five.
- The Irish are 11-1 at home this season and averaging 87.6 points per game at Purcell.
- Notre Dame is 10-3 all-time against Clemson and 5-1 at home. The Irish won last year’s meeting at Clemson, 67-58.
