GREENSBORO, N.C. — Notre Dame (26-4) is back in the ACC Tournament semifinals on Saturday, as the Irish take on No. 3 seed Duke (24-7).
Notre Dame topped California 73-64 on Friday evening to make it to this point. Hannah Hidalgo paced the No. 2 seed in the ACC Tournament with 25 points, and Olivia Miles had 14. The Golden Bears shot 45.8 percent from the floor, but 28 turnovers doomed them.
The Blue Devils used stout defense to defeat Louisville on Friday night, 61-48. Notre Dame and Duke met last month in South Bend, and the Irish earned the home win behind suffocating defense of their own, 64-49.
Saturday’s semifinal game is the second of the day, following No. 1 NC State against No. 5 North Carolina at noon. The Irish play at 2:30 on ESPN2.
