Notre Dame, Ind. – The 2002 Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team will participate in a Habitat for Humanity service project in the South Bend community on Sat., Sept. 29.
The entire Irish squad, including head coach Kevin Corrigan and assistant coaches Kevin Anderson and David Campbell, will help in the building of a couple of homes in the South Bend, Ind., area.
The team will assist Habitat for Humanity in the completion of a series of homes which were framed during the past summer months by hanging dry wall, constructing sheds and assisting the volunteer carpenters in preparing the homes for completion.
Saturday’s event will be the second service project which the entire squad has participated in during the past year. The 2001 Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team made a goodwill visit last March to the Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital in Baltimore, Md., while playing a couple of games in the mid-Atlantic area during its spring break.
