#1 Notre Dame vs. #4 Denver

• The game is the 10th overtime national Division I semifinal game in the history of the tournament.
• The win advances Denver to its first national championship game.
• Denver head coach Bill Tierney will be making his ninth national championship game appearance. The previous eight came as the head coach at Princeton University (1992, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002). The Tigers won the national title six times under Tierney (1992, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2001).
• Notre Dame is now 2-3 in national semifinal games.

• Denver senior long-stick midfielder Mike Riis scored his first goal of the season with 0.9 seconds remaining in the third quarter to give the Pioneers a 6-4 lead.
• Denver sophomore midfielder Tyler Pace had two goals and two assists for his sixth game this season with at least four points.
• Denver senior goalkeeper Ryan LaPlante had 13 saves. He now has at least 13 saves in all three of the Pioneers’ NCAA Tournament games after reaching that mark just twice during the regular season.

• Perkovic’s five goals mark a season high. It is his sixth game this year with three or more goals.
• Notre Dame senior midfielder Will Corrigan had a goal and two assists for a season-high three points. It matched a career high.
