Notre Dame - Merrimack Hockey Game To Be Televised Locally On Comcast South Bend Channel 3

Notre Dame, Ind. – The Notre Dame – Merrimack hockey game from the NCAA Northeast Regional in Manchester, N.H., that will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, will be televised in the South Bend area live on Comcast Cable Channel 3. The game also will be shown on Chicago Comcast Cable channel 101 live.

ESPNU HD and ESPN3.com are carrying all the games of all four NCAA Hockey Regionals over the three-day period from March 25-27. The Notre Dame-Merrimack game can be seen on ESPNU HD on tape delay, Saturday, March 26 at 11:30 p.m. With the game on tape delay, arrangements were made for the game to be televised in local markets through ESPN Syndication.

The game can also be seen live on Time Warner Upstate that covers all of Upstate New York, MASN that covers the Mid-Atlantic Region and Comcast Sports New England that covers Boston, Providence, Hartford, Worcester and Springfield areas of Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.

Sunday’s Northeast Regional Championship game will be televised live by ESPNU HD and ESPN3.com beginning at 8:00 p.m. The winner of that contest will advance to the NCAA Frozen Four in St. Paul, Minn., on Thursday, April 7.

The ESPNU broadcast will have Justin Kutcher handling the play-by-play call with Damian DiGiulian providing the color commentary.

The early game of the Northeast Regional featuring top-seed Miami and fourth-seed New Hampshire also will be live on ESPNU HD and ESPN3.com beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Notre Dame enters Saturday’s game as the No. 3 seed in the region with a 23-13-5 overall record and faces the No. 2 seed Merrimack, the No. 2 seed. The Warriors are 25-9-4 on the season and lost in the title game of the Hockey East championship in Boston last weekend. This regional is a showdown between the CCHA and Hockey East as the Irish and Miami represent the CCHA and Merrimack and New Hampshire are members of Hockey East.
