The 2005 National Soccer Coaching Seminar held on the campus of the University of Notre Dame is pleased to announce Craig Brown as this year’s guest clinician.
Brown, the most successful and longest serving coach in Scottish National Team history, is a renowned clinician and teacher of the game.
In addition to Brown, Notre Dame’s own Randy Waldrum and Bobby Clark will lead the ND women’s and men’s players through field sessions for one of the premier clinic experiences available.
Three of the game’s great teachers, high level demonstrators, and a fantastic indoor facility describe the 2005 National Soccer Coaching Seminar to be held March 11 & 12 on the campus of the University of Notre Dame.
2004 NCAA Champion Coach Randy Waldrum and his players will team up with 2004 Big East Coach of the Year Bobby Clark and his squad to welcome former Scotland National Team Coach Craig Brown to the ND campus.
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) has approved the 2005 Notre Dame National Soccer Coaching Seminar as an “endorsed educational event”.
The NSCAA endorses certain high standard coaching education programs with a Professional Development Certificate. The 2005 National Soccer Coaching Seminar qualifies for the Professional Development Certificate by virtue of the fact there is more than 12 hours of instruction, and that it has both Waldrum (an NSCAA National Staff coach), as well as Brown (an Honorary NSCAA National Staff Coach) on the list of clinicians.
The Professional Development Certificate qualifies coaches for the NSCAA National Diploma and will be a CEU for the NSCAA’s newly developed Master Coach certificate. There will be no additional charge to receive the PDC – all coaches attending both days of the event will receive this certificate.
Brown, Scotland’s most successful and longest serving national team coach, is one of the most sought after clinicians in the game today. Brown brings a wealth of experience to the 2005 NSCS with over 28 years of professional coaching experience, including 15 impressive years with the Scottish FA.
Dr. Mick Franco also returns to the lineup of the 2005 seminar. Dr. Franco, a sport psychologist, has been a popular speaker at past events and brings hands on experience through working with the Notre Dame athletes.
