Candace Chapman (Sr., D; Ajax, Ontario) – speedy and versatile player who missed all of ’03 ND season (and World Cup) due to knee injury … ’02 NSCAA All-American and BIG EAST Conf. defensive player of the year (right back) … member of Canadian National Team … career stats: 6G-7A in 40 GP/39 GS (’02: 3G-5A, 19 GS) … could shift to M or F in ’04 (has played both with Canada and ND).

Melissa Tancredi (Sr., D/F; Ancaster, Ontario) – ’03 NSCAA All-American, BIG EAST defensive player of the year and Hermann Trophy final-15 selection … member of Canadian National Team (played in Olympic qualifying) … shifted from F to central D in mid-’02 … career stats: 12G-9A in 55 GP/46 GS (’03: 4G-5A, 21 GP/20 GS) … has great comb. of speed, strength and dominating presence in air.
