EVANSTON, Ill. – Notre Dame women’s tennis opened up the 2025 spring season this past weekend at the Northwestern Quad Invite, competing against Colorado, Northern Illinois and invite host Northwestern. The Irish won 18 individual events over the three day event.
In singles play, both Bojana Pozder and Akari Matsuno went 3-0 over the weekend. On day one, Matsuno shutout Maia Loureiro of Northwestern 6-0, 6-0 in her first competition of 2025. The junior from Hoffman Estates, Illinois only dropped one set all weekend. Pozder defeated Colorado’s Mila Stanojevic 6-4, 6-3 in straight sets to cap off her perfect invite.
In doubles play, the duo of Nibi Ghosh and Rylie Hanford left Evanston unscathed, downing Colorado’s duo of Rebec/Alexin 6-4 on Sunday to finish the weekend 3-0.

The Irish host Ball State in the home opener on Friday, January 17th at 3:00 PM before doubleheader action on Saturday, January 18th against Illinois at 11:00 AM and Depaul at 3:00 PM. All three matches take place inside the Eck Tennis Pavilion and admission is free.
