GREENWOOD, Indiana – Sophie Novak added another accolade to her already impressive resume as she was named to the 2025-26 Academic All-America® Second Team for women’s track & field/cross country as selected by College Sports Communicators.
Novak was a graduate student this past academic year, majoring in Digital Marketing.
Novak had an outstanding outdoor track campaign in 2026, earning First-Team All-American honors at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. In Eugene, she finished as the runner-up in the 3000m steeplechase finals with a time of 9:26.53. The second-place finish complements an outstanding season that saw her claim another ACC title in the 3000m Steeplechase. She also spent most of the spring as the national leader in the event, with her best performance coming at the 2026 Bryan Clay Invitational, where she ran 9:24.95.
