For the second time in her already storied career, Arike Ogunbowale is a WNBA All-Star Game MVP.
On Saturday, the 2019 Notre Dame graduate earned the honor after posting 34 points, 6 assists and 2 steals. Her 34 points set a new record for points in a WNBA All-Star Game. She went 10-20 from the floor and 8-13 from deep as Team WNBA topped Team USA, 117-109.
Ogunbowale was also the game’s MVP in 2021 after scoring 26 points.
In addition to Ogunbowale, three former Irish played in Saturday’s All-Star Game. Kayla McBride had 3 points, and Jackie Young had 2. Along with Young, Jewell Loyd played for Team USA.
