NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team is ranked 10th in this week’s Lacrosse Magazine poll and the Fighting Irish are 11th in both the Warrior media poll and the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) coaches poll.
The Fighting Irish (1-1) will open their inaugural Atlantic Coast Conference slate Saturday at North Carolina. Face-off is scheduled for noon (ET) at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill, N.C. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
The Tar Heels (3-0) appear at No. 2 in the USILA rankings, while they are third in the Warrior and Lacrosse Magazine polls.
All six ACC teams appear in the top 11 of the three major rankings. Three of Notre Dame’s non-conference foes – Denver, Ohio State and Penn State – are ranked in each poll.
